In recent years, yoga has gained popularity as a form of exercise that can be done by people of all ages and fitness levels. Yoga is a great way to stay healthy and active, and it can be incorporated into your daily routine easily.

Intermediate Yoga Sequence

If you have been practicing yoga for a while and are ready to take your practice to the next level, an intermediate yoga sequence is a great way to challenge yourself and improve your skills. An intermediate yoga sequence is designed to build strength, flexibility, and balance. It includes more challenging poses and sequences that require greater focus and concentration. Below is an intermediate yoga sequence that you can try at home:

Warm-up:

Start with some gentle stretches to warm up your body. Begin in a seated position with your legs crossed. Take a few deep breaths and then stretch your arms overhead. Reach as far as you can and hold for a few seconds. Repeat this stretch a few times before moving on to the next pose.

Downward Dog:

Start on your hands and knees, with your hands shoulder-width apart and your knees hip-width apart. Exhale and lift your knees off the floor, keeping them slightly bent. Stretch your arms and legs, and lengthen your spine. Hold for a few breaths and then release.

Bend your right knee over your ankle and stretch your arms out to the sides. Look over your right fingertips and hold for a few breaths. Repeat on the other side.

Triangle Pose:

From warrior II, straighten your right leg and reach your right arm forward. Place your right hand on your shin, ankle, or the floor, and lift your left arm straight up. Look up at your left hand and hold for a few breaths. Repeat on the other side.

Cobra Pose:

Lie on your stomach with your hands under your shoulders. Inhale and lift your chest off the floor, keeping your elbows close to your sides. Hold for a few breaths and then release.

Conclusion

Remember to always listen to your body and never push yourself too hard. As with any exercise program, it is important to consult with your doctor before starting a new yoga routine.
